The Role…

We are looking for a Senior Data Team Lead to lead a team of analytics engineers implementing commercial strategies across Europe critical for dojo’s growth.

You will be responsible for running, shaping and extending solutions to incentivise and compensate our Partnership and Payment Consultant sales channels. These solutions pay out tens of millions of pounds, and have a material impact on dojo’s commercial performance.

You will turn business requirements and strategy into scalable solutions which deliver broad capabilities to support dojo’s ambitions, not just features.

This role sits sits within the Data team and works closely with the Partnerships, Commercial, and Enterprise Technology teams.

What you will do….

  • Design, plan and develop solutions in dbt, airflow and python which are scalable, resilient, observable and flexible to support the changing needs of the business.
  • Lead, Grow, and Shape a High-Performing Team of 3 AEs. Set clear expectations around ownership, quality, and impact, while fostering psychological safety and accountability.
  • Actively manage team health, development, and long-term capability growth.
  • Provide visibility through Looker and other tools on the performance of your solutions from technical and business outcome perspectives.
  • Collaborate with engineers to ensure complete alignment on handovers and data flows between data and engineering services.
  • Co-own roadmaps with PMs, Commercial, and Engineering. Trading off priorities and developing innovative solutions to problems Senior Data Team Lead: Incentive Engineering 1
  • Be hands-on as needed to support data needs- using dbt, looker, airflow, python and other tools to deliver scalable data products.
  • Actively participate and contribute to Dojo’s wider AE and Data maturity through the AE Chapter.

What you will bring

  • You have proven experience leading, mentoring, or coaching data practitioners.
  • You can collaborate with people in various roles across data, stakeholders and beyond.
  • You can communicate effectively within a team and with non-technical stakeholders to understand requirements and business context.
  • You can use data visualisation tools to convey insights and drive actionable decisions.
  • Exposure to commercial strategies and incentives a strong plus.
