The Role Is

Zempler Bank are proud to be recruiting in a newly created role for an Associate Operations Data Analyst based out of the impressive “Spine” building in Liverpool. This is a full time & permanent and hybrid working role (2 days per week from your home) working within the heart of our Operations function.

You will support data analytics, operational MI reporting, dashboard development, and risk focused insight. We are particularly interested in candidates with practical experience in SQL, Power BI and data driven problem solving.

Key Accountabilities Include

Monitoring and Reporting:

• Produce regular operational MI and ad‑hoc reports in line with defined requirements and specifications.

• Update and maintain dashboards and reports to monitor Operations controls, highlighting potential risks or areas of concern.

Risk Assessment Support:

• Collaborate with risk management and operational teams by providing analysis and reporting that supports the assessment of vulnerabilities in systems, processes, transactions or operational activity.

• Contribute data led insight that supports the review and strengthening of operational controls and mitigations.

Data Analysis and Insights:

• Analyse operational data to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies, contributing to performance insight and reporting across Operations.

• Produce analysis and insight outputs that inform operational risk assessments, investigation activities, and performance‑related decision‑making.

Data Quality Management:

• Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and consistency in all analyses and reports.

• Identify and resolve data quality issues, collaborating with relevant teams to improve data sources and processes.

Regulatory Compliance:

• Ensure all analyses and reporting meet relevant regulatory requirements and standards

• Follow change control processes for all MI and analytical outputs.

You'll Need To Have

Essential:

• Experienced with MS SQL Server and skilled in SQL (knowledge of SQL Server Reporting Services is an advantage)

• Advanced Excel skills and confident use of Microsoft Office

• Demonstrated ability to work with large data sets and complex information

• Experience building Power BI dashboards & reports

• Excellent analytical skills and strong attention to detail

• Clear written and verbal communication abilities

Desirable:

• Experience within Banking or Financial Services

• A relevant STEM/BSC degree or related apprenticeship/qualification

Flexibility & choice

We offer 26 days (bank holidays on top) holiday per annum, rewarding long service with an additional day per year (up to 33). You can also buy and sell up to five days holiday a year, for times when you might need some extra cash or a longer break.
