As a Data Analyst, you’ll play an important role in helping teams better understand the people we serve and the impact of the decisions we make. You’ll work with trusted data, turning it into clear, meaningful insight that supports our customer journey from attracting new customers to supporting them as they grow with us.

You won’t work in isolation. Instead, you’ll partner closely with colleagues across Commercial, Product, Operations and Technology, using data to answer real questions, improve customer experiences and support sustainable growth. Whether it’s strengthening our reporting, improving data quality or helping teams make smarter decisions, your work will help Zempler continue building a bank that works better for its customers.

Hybrid Working

The expectation for this role, will involve a minimum of one day each week - working out of our London Bridge office.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting & Insight

  • Deliver MI and analytics aligned to the Commercial Strategy KPIs to inform decision making and track strategic execution.
  • Produce clear, insight driven reporting that translates complex data into narratives supporting growth, customer centricity, and operational excellence.
  • Build and maintain dashboards that support journey analysis, customer segmentation, and commercial performance measurement.
  • Respond to ad hoc insight requests while applying prioritisation aligned to business value.
  • Maintain and develop Production Reporting as required.

Customer & Product Analytics

  • Deepen understanding of priority customer segments, though analysing customer behaviours, sector dynamics, and product usage.
  • Analyse customer journeys to identify pain points, drivers of attrition, opportunities for onboarding optimisation, and levers to improve customer lifetime value.
  • Partner with Marketing and CX functions to optimise acquisition funnels and journey conversion.

Data Management, Governance & Quality

  • Maintain structured, well governed data products underpinning MI, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and stability across customer, product, and financial datasets.
  • Conduct routine data quality checks and resolve issues.
  • Embed standards (definitions, lineage, controls), supporting the organisation’s progression toward higher data maturity.

Continuous Improvement and Efficiency

  • Actively seek to make continuous improvements to our reporting and analytical processes, favouring automation wherever possible for repeated processes.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

Essential

  • Strong SQL capability and experience working with production grade data models.
  • Proficiency with Power BI/ Tableau and ability to turn complex data into compelling stories.
  • Strong analytical thinking with a commercial and customer centric mindset.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to work with cross functional teams and explain insights clearly.
  • High attention to detail with proven ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience working with customer, commercial or operational datasets.

Desirable

  • Experience with Python for data engineering, automation, or modelling.
  • Exposure to Microsoft BI stack (SSIS, SSAS, SSRS).
  • Experience supporting customer journey analytics, segmentation. Understanding of data governance practices and enterprise data management.
  • Degree in a quantitative discipline.

Flexibility & choice

We offer 26 days (bank holidays on top) holiday per annum, rewarding long service with an additional day per year (up to 33). You can also buy and sell up to five days holiday a year, for times when you might need some extra cash or a longer break.
