About the role
About the role
Data and Process Management Office (DPMO) acts as the leading function for the data governance programme of the Bank in the UK. It is responsible for establishing and ensuring implementation of related policies including data governance policies and undertaking data lifecycle management to ensure data standards and data quality. As a Business Analyst, you will be responsible for the business dataflow analysis. You will also support with automation processes across the Bank. This is a full time permanent position.
Key responsibilities
- Carry out business requirement analysis and support the automation process across the Bank
- Liaise with business lines and Head Office, and learn best practice from other branches within BOC group to improve efficiency while ensuring processes meet the regulatory requirements
- Support with the review of current processes across the Bank and put forward suggestions for new processes to ensure process optimisation
- Collaborate with IT and business lines for the development, testing, implementation and upgrade of IT projects across the Bank
- Carry on research on possible application solutions to increase work efficiency and process automation
- Coordinate with IT Quality Assurance (QA) teams to conduct system and User Acceptance Testing (UAT), ensuring new systems meet business needs and are accurate
- Prepare various reports required by Management, auditors or regulators
- Carry out ad hoc tasks as assigned
Requirements
- Degree educated in IT, Data Science, Accounting, Banking or Finance
- Experience in Data, Project Management or IT role, ideally within Financial Services
- Experience in software development, project management or database project management is preferred
- Good understanding of compliance regulatory requirements
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Knowledge of Microsoft Access, Project, Visio or Python is preferred
- Excellent communication skills
- Mandarin is preferred
- Team player
- Attention to details
- Good time management skill
- Analytical abilities and problem solving skills
- Adaptable
