Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 per annum (DOE) | Company Benefits
Location: Walsall, West Midlands
Contract: Full Time | Permanent | 37 hours per week

Echo Managed Services and its subsidiary Aptumo support water companies globally to deliver effective customer service and drive retail operation efficiency through end to end customer service and water billing software offerings.

The Role:
This role goes beyond traditional Business Analysis. You will work closely with teams across the business to design customer-centric solutions, streamline processes, and support the achievement of revenue and growth targets.

Combining analytical thinking, design thinking, and commercial awareness, you will help drive new business opportunities while delivering exceptional value and outcomes for clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with prospects and existing clients to capture, interpret, prioritise, and refine business requirements
  • Produce clear, high-quality artefacts including user stories, BRDs, functional specifications, and test cases
  • Develop a strong understanding of Echo’s products to confidently demonstrate functionality and support successful client adoption
  • Build knowledge of the water billing market, customer needs, and regulatory drivers to support informed decision-making
  • Partner with Product teams to influence the roadmap using market insight and client feedback
  • Help identify opportunities to improve processes, customer journeys, and commercial outcomes through innovative thinking

What You’ll Need:

  • Experience as a Business Analyst, ideally within software, utilities, or a regulated environment
  • Strong commercial awareness with the ability to connect customer needs to business outcomes
  • Confidence working with clients, prospects, and cross-functional teams
  • Ability to produce clear and structured requirements documentation and user stories
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to simplify complex challenges into actionable insights
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • A proactive and curious mindset with a passion for improving processes and customer experiences
