About the Role:

We’re looking for an Analytics Engineer who will be pivotal in driving the delivery of analytics across the Forge Group. Reporting to a Lead Analytics Engineer, you’ll be responsible for bringing robust, efficient, scalable and integrated data models & products to life. You’ll speak the language of both business and technical teams - translating data insights and analysis needs into models powered by our Data Platform, and ensuring data is ingested, transformed, scheduled and presented to empower data-driven decisions. You’ll be a trusted advisor to the business on all things data. This position is perfect for a dynamic individual with a strong background in analytics who is eager to contribute to a high-performing team’s success.

What We Offer:

💰 Salary - Up to £55,000 per annum
📍 Location - Hybrid working with regular time in our Chester HQ

What You'll Do:

  • Provide clean, tested, transformed and modelled data in a way that empowers end users.
  • Deliver impactful data products and dashboards with limited senior support, using Microsoft Fabric and Power BI.
  • Enhance and maintain existing data products and data pipelines using the appropriate technologies.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to share and promote the good use of data.
  • Embed data visualisation best practices, including data storytelling, ensuring insights are impactful and actionable.
  • Contribute to the creation of squad initiatives, aligning them with business goals.
  • Investigate and correct data quality issues.
  • Any other duties that are within the scope, spirit and purpose of the job as requested by your line manager.
    If You've Got:

✅ Commercial experience designing and building ELT pipelines in Fabric using data pipelines and Spark notebooks.
✅ Basic / intermediate Python coding skills.
✅ Strong T-SQL skills.
✅ Experience developing and managing analytics / BI solutions in Fabric.
✅ Experience developing star schemas and dimensional models.
✅ Power BI expertise — semantic modelling, dashboard design, tabular models, performance tuning, best practices and DAX.
✅ Proven ability to manage work within set deadlines and effectively communicate progress.
✅ Ability to understand stakeholder needs and strong communication skills.
