About the role
Description
Are you an experienced Business Analyst ready to drive meaningful change within a forward-thinking organisation?
We are looking for a skilled and self-driven Business Analyst to operate independently as an expert in business process analysis and design, playing a central role in delivering change initiatives that make a real difference. You will be responsible for the accurate analysis and documentation of business requirements, supporting internal and external stakeholders at every stage - from scoping and discovery through to planning, delivery and adoption. With a keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality documentation, you will ensure that every outcome and deliverable remains firmly aligned with our wider organisational goals.
We own and manage c.8,000 homes in the east of England, working closely with other agencies and stakeholders within our communities. We build on the good foundations we have in place in being a customer-centric organisation, investing in our existing homes - including our zero-carbon journey - as well as building new homes.
A lot of our roles come with options around home and office flexible working, as well as a generous annual leave allowance and other benefits.
Requirements
Outline of key responsibilities...
- Lead the analysis and documentation of complex business requirements across the organisation, ensuring alignment between strategic objectives, operational needs and technology solutions
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and translate business needs into clear, actionable requirements, user stories, process maps and functional specifications that support successful solution delivery
- Facilitate workshops and engagement sessions with senior leaders, subject matter experts, technical teams and third-party suppliers to build consensus and drive effective decision making
- Conduct impact assessments, gap analyses and data-driven evaluations, communicating findings clearly to inform business cases, prioritisation and investment decisions
- Assess current processes, identify opportunities for improvement and design effective, practical target-state solutions that meet both business needs and strategic objectives
- Manage requirements throughout the full project lifecycle, providing expert support across solution design, testing, implementation and benefits realisation
- Provide expert guidance on change initiatives, ensuring all solutions are practical, scalable and deliver measurable business benefits
We are looking for someone who has...
- A degree-level qualification in Business, Information Technology, Management, Economics or a related discipline - or equivalent professional experience in a similar role
- Proven experience of delivering business analysis within complex transformation, change, digital or technology programmes, with the ability to operate independently and with confidence
- Demonstrable expertise across the full range of business analysis disciplines, including requirements management, process improvement, stakeholder engagement, business case development and solution design
- Experience of coordinating project teams, bringing together diverse groups of stakeholders to deliver shared objectives effectively and on time
- Experience of delivering technology-based solutions and working closely with technical teams, with the ability to bridge the gap between business and technology with ease
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex challenges, identify root causes and develop practical, evidence-based solutions
- Experience of business process modelling and documentation tools, with the ability to produce clear, accurate and professional outputs throughout the project lifecycle
- A strong working knowledge of Agile, Waterfall and hybrid delivery methodologies, with the flexibility to apply the most appropriate approach to each project
