IT Data Steward – 12 month FTC

• Hybrid working with 40% home-based working and 60% based out of our Stratford-upon-Avon Head Office, (Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays)

About the role

This role sits within the IT Data Steward Team within the IT Customer Applications area and plays an important part in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of customer data across NFU Mutual systems. As a member of the IT Data Steward, you’ll focus on the day-to-day management of customer records, ensuring data is correctly deduplicated, investigated and resolved in line with agreed standards and processes.

You’ll work across source systems, customer relationship management platforms and master data management layers, identifying and resolving data issues and trends. Alongside this, you’ll engage with colleagues and stakeholders across the business to validate data, correct inaccuracies and reduce data quality risks.

The role also offers the opportunity to contribute to continuous improvement by identifying root causes of data issues and recommending enhancements to processes and ways of working. You’ll be supported by Senior Data Stewards and the IT Team Leader as you build your technical knowledge and capability within the team. This role is based in Stratford-upon-Avon and reports to an IT Team Leader.

About you

You enjoy working with data, take pride in accuracy and are naturally curious when it comes to investigating issues and understanding how systems and processes connect. You’re comfortable following structured processes, while also looking for opportunities to improve how things are done.
Essentially you will bring:

• Evidence of data cleansing experience, (including de-duplicating customer data to agreed standards) OR data analysis experience.
• Demonstrable strength in attention to detail.
• Root cause analysis experience, able to investigate data issues to identify underlying causes
  Good applications knowledge, understanding IT applications data flows and impact on data management
• SQL querying skills – desirable
• Data reporting experience - desirable
