About the role
At Trustpilot, we're on an incredible journey. We're a profitable, high-growth FTSE-250 company with a big vision: to become the universal symbol of trust. We run the world's largest independent consumer review platform, and while we've come a long way, there's still so much exciting work to do. Come join us at the heart of trust!
Trustpilot’s growth has been exponential - from a successful IPO to building out new teams, we never stop working hard to fulfill our mission to create better experiences for everyone through our platform. But to do that, we need data! That’s where Analytics comes in - you’ll help us measure, uncover insights, and predict, to get data everywhere in Trustpilot. We’ve built a world-class analytics team that spans two continents and four cities - are you ready to join a fun, diverse global team?
Trustpilot is on a mission to create better experiences for everyone through our platform. But to do that, we need to protect the integrity of our community and deeply understand how our consumers perceive trust. We’ve built a world-class analytics team that spans continents and cities - and now, we’re looking for a data analyst to support our regulatory duty and protect trust for our platform and consumers.
Trust
This team is the guardian of our platform. They use data to stay one step ahead of bad actors, working with the teams that build the models and detection systems that identify fake reviews and ensure Trustpilot remains a universal symbol of integrity.
It is a huge part of what we do at Trustpilot - it’s in the name! We need to ensure that the content on our platform is real content from real people. That means eliminating scam and spam, and identifying fraudulent behavior. We have several cross functional teams devoted to Trust. You’ll be tightly aligned to their goals, helping teams such as Content Integrity, Legal & Compliance, Corporate Comms & Investor Relations, Fraud & Investigations to investigate requests on fraudulent activity, prepare various reports including core publicly shared company and regulatory reports.
As a Data Analyst at Trustpilot, you will collaborate with Trusties in our Trust, Comms and Marketing teams and spend your time digging through our data to provide them with data-driven insights, as well as analytics and dashboards/reporting. You’re keen to help them use data to answer their toughest questions, and you can proactively identify areas that need a little data support. You’ll be an internal data consultant, with loads of amazing data in our data warehouse at your fingertips, working with analytical tools including BigQuery and Looker.
What you’ll be doing:
- Be the main contact point for all regulatory and compliance reporting
- Delivering expert analytics and insights to different parts of the business, through both workstream-driven initiatives and ad-hoc inquiries
- Building data sets and dashboards that support our Trust data integrity and auditability requirements
- Picking the right solution for the problem you’ve got, from your arsenal of analytical tools and methods
- Working closely with the Comms, Investor Relations, Marketing, Compliance or Trust teams to understand their data requests and their goals to deliver awesome solutions
- Presenting and promoting your work to the wider business, to enable data-informed decision making
- Scoping and documenting projects
- Standardising and automating key reports ensuring integrity, governance and data quality
Who you are:
- Knowledge of reporting best practices and experience delivering actionable insights leveraging BI tools (we use Looker)
- Experience in stakeholder and project management, with the confidence to deliver results back to the business
- Advanced SQL skills (we use BigQuery)
- Data modelling experience: DBT or similar tools used for building data pipelines
- Experience with Python is desirable
- Familiarity of key analytical and statistical methodologies, such as model-based analyses (regression, clustering etc.), cohort analysis
- Familiarity with Airflow
- Familiarity with A/B testing
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
About us
Trustpilot began in 2007 with a simple yet powerful idea that is more relevant today than ever — to be the universal symbol of trust, bringing consumers and businesses together through reviews. Trustpilot is open, independent, and impartial — we help consumers make the right choices and businesses to build trust, grow and improve.
Today, we have more than 300 million reviews and 64 million monthly active users on average across the globe, with 140 billion annual Trustbox impressions, and the numbers keep growing. We have more than 1,000 employees and we’re headquartered in Copenhagen, with operations in Amsterdam, Denver, Edinburgh, Hamburg, London, Melbourne, Milan and New York.
We’re driven by connection. It’s at the heart of what we do. Our culture keeps things fresh –– it’s built on the relationships we create. We talk, we laugh, we collaborate and we respect each other. We work across borders and cultures to be the universal symbol of trust in an ever-changing world. With vibrant office locations worldwide and over 50 nationalities, we’re proud to be an equal opportunity workplace with diverse perspectives and ideas.
Our purpose to help people and businesses help each other is a tall order, but we keep it real. We’re a great bunch of humans, doing awesome stuff, without fuss or pretense. A successful Trustpilot future is driven by you –– we give you the autonomy to shape a career you can be proud of. If you’re ready to grow, let’s go.
