About the role

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Information Systems team as a Data Analyst based at PING Europe’s head office in Gainsborough, Lincolnshire.

Reporting Directly to the Business Systems Manager, the Data Analyst will deliver data-driven insights that support decision-making across the business. Working with global teams, including data engineers, report analysts, business analysts and SME’s, this role enables teams to access reliable, meaningful data. The Data Analyst will build and maintain scalable data solutions and answer complex questions. As part of the IT function, this role has a responsibility to maintain the integrity and security of company systems and data.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide access to business insights and intelligence through dashboards, reports, data pipelines and analysis.
  • Be responsible in answering business questions and find answers in large unfamiliar data sets.
  • Identify, analyse and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.
  • Produce clear documentation to improve both team and business knowledge.
  • Develop and maintain reports and dashboards that give stakeholders clear access to business performance data.
  • Have the ability to locate, define and deliver new process improvement opportunities.
  • Apply verification and validation techniques, ensuring accuracy and precision of data.
  • Engage stakeholders throughout the organisation to answer business questions with data.
  • Work with data engineers and product owners to discover and integrate data from various and disparate sources and produce data sets that can be used to provide analysis.
  • Be current at all times with industry standards and technological advancements.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Degree level education in a related discipline or equivalent experience.

  • Minimum five-years commercial experience and two years previous experience as a Data Analyst.
    PERSONAL QUALITIES

  • Strong analysis skills, with the ability to collect, organise, analyse and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Excellent knowledge of SQL, with a minimum of three years of regularly writing complex queries.

  • Working knowledge of Azure with a minimum one-year experience.

  • Excellent communication skills to work with both technical and business stakeholders.

  • Strong problem-solving abilities with attention to detail and a customer-focused mindset.

  • Self-motivated and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
